Privacy policy

We built EdSkedule to collect as little as possible, keep it only as long as we need to, and never use it for anything beyond running the service. This page explains exactly what that means.

1.What we collect, and why

Account information — your username, email address and a hashed password. This is the minimum needed to let you sign in and to gate solving to your subscription. We use it for no other purpose.

Timetable requests and solutions — when you solve a timetable, the request and the resulting solution are stored, linked to your account. This data uses opaque IDs, not names: the names of your teachers, rooms and classes stay on your device and are never sent to us. Only your local app knows which ID belongs to which name.

Technical data for abuse prevention — your IP address is used briefly, in memory, to rate-limit requests. It is not written to any database or stored alongside your account.

Operational logs — our servers keep short-lived logs for debugging and reliability, which may reference your account ID. These are automatically deleted after 90 days, no matter what.

2.What we don't do

  • No analytics or tracking scripts, in the app or on this website.
  • No cookies, no advertising, no third-party trackers.
  • We never sell, rent or share your data with third parties.
  • We never use your data for anything beyond providing EdSkedule to you.

3.Legal basis

We process your account and timetable data because it's necessary to provide the service you've signed up for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b), contractual necessity) — not on the basis of consent, and not for marketing. Transient IP-based rate-limiting relies on our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and abuse-free (Art. 6(1)(f)).

4.How long we keep it

Your account and timetable data is kept for as long as your account exists, and deleted immediately — including every timetable request and solution linked to it — the moment you delete your account. Operational logs are purged after 90 days regardless of whether your account is still active.

5.Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete and receive a copy of your data. You can delete your account and everything linked to it at any time, yourself, from inside the app: open your Account dialog and choose Delete account. For anything else — a copy of your data, a correction, or any other request — email us and we'll handle it directly.
